jasoncdowning Posted June 7, 2010 Share Posted June 7, 2010 ok im a newbee but i have played the game to death with alot of wonderful mods but i have some ideas of my own. im just now starting to play around with the geck its not that hard to understand, but i do have some ideas about mods others have built and would like to change them. I of course know that i would need permission but i dont know what the proper edicate for such a task. is it legal what is the right way to get permission is there a utube vid on how to help change exsisting mods how do you start in the geck if in asking new guy questions im sorry , but i just would like to tweek some existing mods and dont know how to begin. any info would be awsome. thanks jason p.s i would like to expand the display room in the undergroundhideout using geck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dissentuk Posted June 8, 2010 Share Posted June 8, 2010 There's nothing to stop you from making any changes to mod's you like. you just cant upload them with out express permission from the owner. There are some pretty good tutorials you can watch that help you learn the controlls. Initial editing is quite east but it does get complicated quickly. some useful tips:A = turn lights on and offZ = Move objects up and down with mouseG = Move and object up a small ammountT = Center over a selected objectM = show markersHold X,Y or Z when rotating to rotate on the specific axisHold space to move around and shift to change angle and rotate around selected object. Once you select fallout 3 esm in the data window, select the mod you wish to edit and set it as the active file.most stuff is pretty well covered on the bethesta website.
