SaturnC
ixnay on the piratay. They dont like us bringing that subject up around here Saturn. Ah thank you! I edited my post. I was talking about the sims community but I would think they have this problem with all modded games. Thanks again!
DarkeWolf
Its all good. The whole discussion of it is just a bad idea, regardless of which game, software, or company it's about. Gawd, tell me about it tho. I used to play Talisman Online. Geeze, I probly spend about 300 bucks in their online store, getting t-points for my toons. :crazy:And there were others that would spend thousands in there!! (rich kids with nothing better to do!) *insane*
SpellAndShield
There comes a point when the pursuit of more money becomes insulting. Think like the film "BASEketball". Just because you could make a whole range of cuddly toys, lunch boxes and flasks based on your video game doesn't mean you should do it. It demeans the original product. As much as I agree with you, try telling that to EA! Need I say the Sims1,2 and 3? I figure I've spent over a thousand dollars in Sims2 stuff alone. Thank god for Fallout, DA and now Mass Effect to keep me away from the Sims3. I've only spent around $150 for that series so far. I think EA is one of the most evil of any gameing corporation to sqeeze every last cent out of it's customers--they take milking the cash cow to a whole new level. It just sucks they get involved with games I want to play. Oh well, if the movie is bad, I won't pay 10 bucks to see it and keeping some money out of EA's pockets that way. I don't even know what SIMS is...but if price is any indicator, I am happy I don't.
RustyBlade
I figure I've spent over a thousand dollars in Sims2 stuff alone. Been there, did that, made the University real. That is all I will say about that other than to say the sooner EA dies as a corporation, the sooner we all get better games at better prices. They have caused me to spend futile dollars since the first madden game for the SNES (controller spike) and one day I will win the powerball and sue their sorry butts out of existence (or not.) brokenergy
@DWolf: End of the year apparently. I'm in the 'I haven't seen it so I won't cast judgement' camp. If you want to see previous EA anime titles, look for Dead Space and Dante's Inferno animes, they are not half bad and Dragon Age would fall in the same camp in terms of artistry and story. PS. EA may be bad, but Activision and Ubisoft are worse and we are unfortunately fueling it.
tinylewtgriffon
If it was a decent plot (a new plot, not the Origins and awakenings), animation and actors/actresses...I'll watch it
DarkeWolf
@BE- Deadspace wasnt too bad. Dante's inferno.... well.... granted, it was based loosly off the original writing, but I found it to be kinda cheesy. Art was decent half the time tho. And the art was definitely doable in Deadspace. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. @ British- I dunno about that one. They tried to bring in new characters in the comic, and honestly.... I just couldnt get into them. (or maybe it was just the horrible artwork, and they way that they jumped around from one point in time to another point in time with no real connnection between the sequences). Myself, I think I'd rather see some of the stuff happen in the movie, that didnt happen in the game. More filler, so to speak. Thats just me tho. I am curious also. Do they plan to use the same voice actors if they have some of the original characters? I honestly can't imagine hearing a different voice on Al, Morrigan, or even Flemeth. brokenergy
Maybe it would tie in Origins and DA2 beyond that I don't know. I'll see what I can dig up.
