How to install the dog-slot-mod?

Hello - I am a first time mod user and have downloaded the extra dog-slot mod - if some use the 7zip you get the Contents Folder and A Manifest sheet - what to do afterward?

I have also installed the DOM Modmanager & DAModder tool from this page..but I just cant figure out how to make overrides out of this two files?

Sorry if such question has already been asked and I'm just to stupid to find the answer and install this mod!

 

Anybody can help me here - would be very kind of you?

As this seems to be the perfect addition to the game!

Thank you very much spets21 for the fast reply, however I am not able to follow as I install the first time a mod with this tools.

 

Here is my problem:

I downloaded the mod - you get the Contents Folder and the Manifest sheet - after I have this two files - and now????

I may open as you said DAmodder - but where to find the dog slot icon you are talking of?

Because if I drag this two downloaded and with 7zip opened files - into the big field below the Filter in the DAmodder it says Contents unknown - but anyway it install it - so after I open the DA-Game - and load my started campaign but no extra slot appears for my existing dog?

 

So what do I make wrong? - does it not matter that the DAmodder tool mention Contents unknown?

Or does it only work if start a new campaign?

And do I have the DAmodder activated when I start my game - or does it not care as it is installed in the main game files already?

 

Any further help would be very kind of somebody and if I could I would pay a beer or two :biggrin: - really thanks!!!! :thumbsup:

 

(I'm not a newbie to computers at all and have modded other games myself (Total War Series) - but here I just started to work with this tools - and the forum at the download web is that huge so I started to check and find but after two hours I gave my resignation - and tried it here my maybe stupid question as it is maybe very easy - but not for me jet! :whistling: )

Ahhhh.....I think I got it - some just not open the download with 7zip and just drag the unopened file into the DAmodder? :whistling:

Right???? - will try now to look in game.....

 

EDIT: - Just tried - sad still no dog slot! - if its of interest I am on Windows-Vista...?????

okay i made a simple guide for you to understand with pic and everything

 

Extract the file first if it is in Winrar/Zip file to your desired location to be able to open/use the file

spets21 - WOW- thank you very much for this very kind and very good explanation - it all works ( even I just found out a few hours ago by myself - but that does in no matter lessen your kindly support!)

I am myself a long time moderator at TWCenter web for ETW Game - so I know how often users sometimes ask the same question over and over again - and how time consuming such detailed nice posts are - really thank you - is there no +Reputation tool at this web site? - otherwise I would give you a few!!!

 

So far I have installed: The dog-slot mod & Helm_Removal mod & Combat Tweaks mod & Dragon Age Redesigned Fixes & mora_and_leliana mod (the natural body mod - could not resist! :laugh: and have a cool game now - I really enjoy this game a lot! (After playing MassEffect2 by Bioware 10 out of 10 from me!!! - I thought give this also a try - and just wow - are all Bioware games that good?)

 

spets21 Have you any other mods to recommend - except the ones I may spy at your screen-shot???

If you like a little spicy romance w/ your companion Luchaire made this great Scenes in this mod http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=548and if you like a little adventure and get to have your own keep try this mod made by dragonagefun http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1307 be sure to read the description before you install. :teehee: there are tons of great mods here in nexus try checking them out but just be careful when downloading files that are unknown or misleading sometimes there have been many virus attacks that are being uploaded by bored individuals but thanks to our great moderators and might of the banhammer XD

By the way the Grey Warden Runic Armor looks awesome & a bit different but also awesome are the love scenes..haha.....really plenty off mods to choose..
