yunage
I've been using Imp's Timescale Adjuster for a few days. While I used it to speed up time a little while back, now it doesn't really seem to do anything. I've been setting it at 1:8, 1:4 and 1:2, but it doesn't work. That's not the weirdest part. I've uninstalled Im's Timescale Adjuster and manually tried 'Set Timescale To' in the console, but that has also has stopped working. I mean, I get a feedback message that the scale has been altered, but when I look at the clock, time progresses as normal. What's going on here? I don't think it's a mod conflict, I put Imp's mod way down the load order already. Help would be appreciated.. I can't play the game on 1:30, it's terribly unrealistic.

Gribbleshnibit8
Mods like Imp's, or any that allow configurable in game settings like that, use scripts, and load order doesn't matter. You might be running another mod, like Project Nevada, that also has a timescale edit in it.
yunage
Dammit, it seems to happen constantly. It just takes a while for me to notice a new game. So I didn't luck out after all. Mods like Imp's, or any that allow configurable in game settings like that, use scripts, and load order doesn't matter. You might be running another mod, like Project Nevada, that also has a timescale edit in it. It happens with or without Imp's (also without most mods that I use, period.. I even tried Arwen's rebalancing mod which also has a time scale tweak in it. No difference. I've been trying to crush this bug all week now, I don't think it's caused by a mod anymore. I think I'm going to repost it in the Troubleshooting forum, maybe I'll get somewhere that way. Edited September 14, 2014 by yunage
yunage
OK, just tested NV without mods again, using just a simple set timescale command in the console, and now the timescale bug isn't happening! What. The.. I can't believe I wasted so much time over this, only to be wrong about something again! The mod conflict-detective work will have to wait this time. Just getting a little tired of fixing things. It seems like I'm caught in some kind of bug like this with some or other TES / Fallout game every weekend or so. Never get the chance to actually relax and play anything. Edited September 14, 2014 by yunage
yunage
I am such a huge idiot. I figured it out two minutes before I had to leave for work. I use this darker nights mod found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44834/? However, it's not just a darker nights mod. It also adjusts time scale a bit. And that's in the fine print only. This has to be my nr 1 pet peeve when it comes to using mods, minor additions that have nothing to do with what the mod sets out to change. I've come across it so many times and I can't still can't believe I fell for it again, wasting so much time in the process.
