Vagrant0
My position on the matter as voiced to Stardusk in PM when he asked Well, he uploaded 2 mods made by other authors without their permission, one of which was a mod that was specifically pulled by the author because he no longer wanted to share his mods. Upon being told that uploading other people's mods, or using them in your own work without permission is not allowed, he became very hostile. In his tirade he started blaming those who were following the rules, and who rightfully reported him as if it was some matter of jealousy, going on to say that he doesn't intend to change the underlying behavior any, but instead will just pass those mods along between his friends so that random people cannot complain about it or report him. He clearly does not understand in the slightest what he was doing wrong, and had no interest in changing his behavior to be one which is more respectful of others. He is welcome to appeal through the contact form, but I'm of the opinion that he should just find some other community to disrespect and complain about. That is my opinion on the matter, and even if they were a somewhat helpful person on the forums, their actions and general attitude in this regard suggest that we are better off without them. People who use the report feature properly should not be abused for doing so. But to answer the question, it's possible for the decision to be overturned, and it has been done before, just more often than not the person does something in reaction to being banned that only results in hurting their argument that they've improved anything. There's no point in removing the ban if the person in question has no intention of changing the behavior or attitudes which led to the ban.
