RustyBlade
In Jarvia's hideout there are four chests/crates that contain junk item sets, letter openers and other useless garbage, each is labeled with [Name]'s Cache. Every time I open one I get two injuries, eight total if I open all four. I have used uber-rogues (pimped out PC, Lelliana and Zevran) and none can detect a trap to disarm. I know the traps in her lair are tough to locate but they can be located and disarmed; not so for these caches. Is this normal or do I have some kind of bug? PhilSRD
These are the chests related to a specific quest in the area. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Jammer%27s_Stash I hope this helps you out as I was confused about this to start with as well. There is a note in one of the first rooms that gives this Jammer's quest. It says that you can take the lowest valued item from each chest to make a key. To take the rest has dire consequences. RustyBlade
It is apparently one of those little quests that I always blew off or didn't notice/read. Orzammar is so time consuming I usually try to skip the little stuff and get it done and get gone; I've managed to get in and out in just under 7 hours and only recently have been taking time to "smell the roses." For the longest time I thought it was the assassins doing it to me because I made a bee-line for Jarvia's den and didn't go down the side passages. Just goes to show what using maps and over-simplified walk-throughs can do to your game. I'll keep an eye out for the actual quest on this play-through. Yeah, it's got the Longrunner's cap, about 7 gold, then maybe an odd or end item in the chest. Plus in the same area there are about 8 baddies to kill and about 5 other chests/boxes of goodies (that I usually sell off for gold).
