Souperintendent
So this is my PC: http://www.amazon.com/CyberpowerPC-Gamer-GLC2260-Desktop-Black/dp/B00FE23D7G/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1410593207&sr=8-12&keywords=cyberpower+gaming+pc I can run Battlefield 3, Red Orchestra II, and Battlefield 4 on Ultra at 60 FPS. But for some reason, Fallout New Vegas, with an ENB installed, goes down to about 40 at worst. I'm uncertain as to why this is, and was hoping someone could help me figure it out. It only happens when outdoors, looking at nearby architecture/objects. Outdoors and looking off in the distance provides a higher framerate, it seems. I had the same problem in Oblivion, but turning down the anisotropic filtering from 16 to 8 in the ENB settings fixed it, and now it only slows down when I'm in a field where there's a ton of grass polygons (can I turn those off?). Tweaking stuff in New Vegas doesn't affect much. For the record, I've used both Onix and Nevada ENB's, and both had the same problem. I'm new to ENB's, so I don't quite know how they work. Beforehand I just used texture packs and lighting overhauls. Maybe it's something inherent with the ENB functionality that causes problems, and not the graphical payload?
