Surprising Surprise Attacks

When I play as a stealth archer (which is literally almost every character I make...), I often fail at the "stealth" part. Something that always annoys me is that, when you fail, either the NPCs find you within about 10 seconds, or they give up and ignore their friends lying dead right next to them with an arrow in the knee. Then, when they do find you, they have their weapons in their inventory straight away, so they can just fight straight away.

What I want is for NPCs to be more...unready for an attack. That is, for example, when their friend dies next to them, they have to go and pick up their weapons before they start looking for you, or fight unarmed. The exceptions, of course, being situations where, for whatever reason, they are expecting an attack, such as in a fort.

Another request (part of the same mod, but secondary to what I suggested above) is that, when enemies are outmatched, rather than fighting to the death, they run away and warn their allies further along your path, so that the next group is forewarned and reinforced by the survivors of the first group.

The reason that I want this is that the NPCs are all too prepared for an attack. I just don't feel that it's realistic enough. I mean, would you want to walk around with a warhammer permanently glued to your back?

Tell me your thoughts, and, if you decide to do it, thank you. I salute you.

Well, I was thinking the same thing while playing Falskaar at like 2:00 AM today. I was like, "why dont you see that your friend just died in your face?!" It doesn't seem very immersive. So I will make my best attempts at making this mod. Although, I do not know if it would be compatible with custom NPCs, unless they really use the games default behaviour, which some mods already modify. I also, want to refrain from editing vanilla files, just to keep the mod as clean and compatible as possible. Ill keep in touch, PM me so we can communicate somewhere faster.
