White Teeth won't work, no other mods.

I've deleted Nexus, Dragon Age, and all their corresponding folders and files, and reinstalled everything in the default locations on windows 7. I downloaded the file using the NMM. Nothing else is running or installed. It still doesn't show up, and I remember it did, at one point.

What is going on? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply! Sorry my topic was a little unclear, I just meant that there are no other mods other than White Teeeth running, so there shouldn't be interference, which is usually what seems to mess people up.

The .erf file is in it's own little folder in documents>bioware>dragonage>packages>core>override, but I take it you mean I should unpack it manually, and move that file into override? I'll give it a go, thanks.

Hm, that's strange. It doesn't matter if you just put the erf in your override folder or if you extract the files from the erf. - both ways should work. I remember that some people said it only worked when they have started a new game but I think you have tried this too.

aaaannd but I'm not sure but maybe it has only influence on the default skin textures? If you use e.g. one of fmorganas it will not work because she has maybe changed something on the teeth colour of her textures but I think you have tried this too because you said you have made a complete new installation and so the white teeth should be seen on the vanilla preset characters.

Yup, that's about the shape of it. Maybe I have have it installed before I start a new character? Is there any way to check to see what's going on?

As long as you are only using the default/ vanilla base face textures it should work. I've tried it a few minutes ago in the Toolset.

Vanilla teeth and vanilla face texture:

Vanilla teeth with the "white teeth mod" which only works for the vanilla face textures!

and here the look of the teeth with one face texture of Vilissas mod. As you can see he has whitened the teeth.

First, I really appreciate you going to all this trouble. Second, there's one thing I haven't tried, which is trying the game without the mod. Turns out I had forgotten that the base teeth texture is darker than the deepest heart of night. Yeeeee gods, what were they thinking?

The White Teeth mod is a little darker than I'd like with the games cartoony aesthetic, but that a matter of personal taste, it's so much better than the madness of the base texture.

The important lesson here, is that I am dumb. Thank you.

Of course you aren't a dumb!

You are welcome. It was a nice distraction from working on my mod. :D

To be honest I looked in my override folder and was really surprised that I had installed the mod because I expected a white like you get with Vilissas textures.

On the BSN site there are some other teeth mods too which have a more whitened look. Sometimes it's good that I bookmark everything, so I have the links:

Happy modding!
