EternalKnight001
While playing through Origins using Dracomies' mod Dragon Age Redesigned (incredible mod, btw) I came across Bella, and his work on her was just incredible. I tried to make her head into a pre-set to use for a future character, but every time I tried it the pre-set head looked differently than it did on Bella. I would be greatly appreciative if someone could manage to make a pre-set out of Dracomies' version of Bella that looks exactly as it does in the game. I included a screencap of her so you'll be able to see what I'm looking for. Hopefully someone can help! :)
DarkeWolf
Here's a method by which you can make your character look like her thru the toolset. Now, one big difference in this particular instance is that rather than using the morph name from a savegame character, you're gonna want to use hf_arl150cr_bella.mor instead. Now, one thing I'll warn you about. You're gonna have to TYPE THAT IN. you cant CnP it. If you try, it will add an all new line. Which is gonna botch your character. And you cant use paste value, as its not a form that the paste value will recognize if you copy plain text. So.... just make sure you dont have any typos  Also, the reason that they are looking different is because Dracomies used some custom created artwork for some of his characters, which arent available thru the Character Creator, or the toolset morph creator. Hope this helps!
EternalKnight001
I'm not sure exactly what you mean here, Darke. The headmorph file for Bella is already named that, so I'm not sure where exactly I'm supposed to type that in. Do you mean that I should make the character normally then rename the character file hf_arl150cr_bella.mor? Sorry, I'm new to modding in general (used to be a console-only gamer but made the switch when I discovered how much custom content PC games get through the modding community!) so this stuff is all pretty new to me. And is Bella one of the ones that he used custom content for? It'd kinda suck, but... wow, he must have put a huge amount of time into the game redesign. Makes me wonder if he does that sort of thing for a living, and if not, how can we get in touch with Bioware so we can recommend they pick him up for Dragon Age 2? Thanks again for the help, Darke. DarkeWolf
OhMyGAWD!!! I totally FORGOT to paste the link for the tutorial on how to edit the savegame character for a new morph!!! http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=449Geeeeeeeze!!! I am so, so, SOOOO SORRY!!! Yeah, its pretty hard to understand what somebody is talking about, when they dont provide you the link for the information, that they're talking about. *kicking self in the butt*Ok, I'm done ranting at myself for dropping the ball there..... That link will provide you with a tutorial on how to edit your savegame character with a new face morph. However, it uses the morph of another savegame character to do it. so you start out with that tut, and when you get to the part of where it says to copy the SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR \ SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR \ SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH info from that other character... thats where you will type in the hf_arl150cr_bella.mor instead. Dracomies created custom morphs for TONS of the characters in the game. And yes, Bella is one of them. :wink:And yeah, I am sure that he put a LOT of his own time and personal creativity into the creation of that mod. Its definitely a work that he should be proud of, and has gotten him some acclaim for  Actually, its kinda funny that you should mention that. Believe it or not, some of the work that went into the DAO and ME2 games were either done by modders, or with input from modders. From what I hear, some of their current staff were modders that they hired on from the old Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate days. Now granted... that was before they were bought out by EAgames, so I have no clue what the policy is now.If you wanted to drop a recommendation for him, you'd want to go visit bioware's official forums at http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/index and post a thread recommending him over there. I'd include a link to his mod in your post. Not a problem, and again, I am incredibly sorry for forgetting to post that link.
