That will eliminate the floating head problem, but it also change their appearance completely. So if you make Zevran a dwarf, then you will need to match him to a dwarf head morph as well. Is this something you have done in the toolset or the console? If in the toolset, then in the creature object viewer also change the head morph to one you want. If you are using the console, then I would suggest finding an appropriate head morph to put into your override folder.
