Flyby111
Hi all. New player to Oblivion, but having a problem. My character keeps moving to the right, and won't stand still. I got nowhere trying to reconfigure the mouse. (This only happens with Oblivion, nothing else) but I can't fix it. I gave up and switched to joystick control, but he still moves to the right. Is there a hard code way to 'centre' my character and make him stand still? Game is close to unplayable as it is. Any suggestions?
shaklee1
When you say the game is unplayable, do you mean it lags or is it something else? I haven't encountered that problem before but if the game lags, then it's could be that which is making your character continously move to the right. Sorry if I'm not much help. yeldarb
Is the D button on your keyboard stuck?
Flyby111
Thank you. No, there isn't any lag, and the commands all work fine. The character should stand still until I command him to move, but he doesn't . It's as if the 'move right' button is stuck down. It isn't of course, and I've already tested this by assigning a different button - but that didn't work either. When I say it's unplayable, the game itself is fine, but you can't really fight when you'll always sliding off to the right, and it's hard to pick stuff up when you're always moving. It's not very enjoyable to play. I'm on XP by the way....
Flyby111
Thanks for the advice guys - I've nailed it. Keyboard wasn't stuck, but the joystick evidently must have an issue. Pulled out the joystick and everything is fine. Seems so obvious now....
