XMX Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 Ok for some reason, I have no blood in game anymore. I have it set on High in options, but none is shown. I dont get it since I clearly remember seeing blood when I first started playing the damn game. I only have the BTMod and I had not tweaked the .INI when I first noticed this. I downloaded the More Gory Blood mod to see if it could make a quick fix, and I went in and tweaked the .INI after the fact and still no DAMN blood. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Stampede Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 Hmm, you see, the problem is that some of the more dangerous mods can create changes in the game which are hard to eradicate. The blood is infrequent, I'll get a big ol mess with dogs and mountain lions but little to none for people, sometimes vice-versa. And my blood settings are on high too. It usually occurs when I hit someone with an arrow., I'll get a nice swathe of blood spatter. But if I hit someone with a sword or dagger I won't get a swathe of blood. Again, it's infrequent and sometimes I DO get blood in all cases, but for say 90% of the time, blood doesn't show up. I have no idea how to fix this. I think the bug is that you hit 'SOMETHING' and draw blood, but the blood is bugged and it stays. Then you save and the game always sees that blood as permanent, so it applies the INI blood rules on it. You can only have so much blood present at a time, and I think the defualt is 10 or 15 decals? Maybe turning blood off entirely, waiting for 3 days, saving, exiting the game and coming back and turning it on again? I have to say though, like many things in this game I felt that blood was on of the things they just added in at the end. I've seen this problem before as well, and I thin it stems from a bug.
