Paxan_1
if there is a guy that exist , he would still be a virgin for sure. :teehee: Yeah, you are so right :teehee: But isn't Alistair reminding you on such a kind? Btw, nice idea that he is a virgin when i invite him into my tent..., but that idiot has regret it.
SpellAndShield
Good point on both, I'd just have to cook "special" meals, when I felt like it  Again just fallout, thanks for reminding me. Gimme Alistair! :woot: Or do I just want something that does not exist, like the NIN song? I mean Alistair is so not real, and I had a full on crush on him ... aaargh >runs of to her therapist< Hi Mercbird, i think there are guys in the real world like Alistair. He reminds me to the guys you have a crush on but the don't realise it. In my opinion he is a one of the guys standing with his friend around on a party and tries hardly not to speak to girls. A little bit shy, a sweet way if you ask me  , so the girl has to do the first step. The problem with these types is they don't realise it  But if you have him he will always be there for you :teehee: I don't think that Alistair is really like guys like that. Er ist eher reine Fantasie.
Shacary
I totally agree, I like his combination of vulnerable boyish charm, great humor and loyal steadfast duty. He is dependable, u know when u are in over ur head he will help you. I dont find him wantign a mother at all, I dont think being kind to him about darning his shirt or whatever is asking for someone to be his mother. Wynne more or less projects herself to us as a " Mother/grandmother " figure, always advising , observing etc. anyways, totally Alistair fangirl here, Handsome, funny, loyal and tender, but strong enough to support you when u need him too! [ emotionally as well as physically!] OK i think i caught all my dyslexic reversing of letters lol sorry all
danscott84
Stardusk, I am with you on this one. Having been an athlete in a former life, :whistling: , I would have loved to have him beside me on the scrimmage line during a football game. But I would have a very hard time hanging out with him after the game. I mean, the part where he asks Leliana if she's female, I have never met a guy that clueless. Yes, I have asked female friends for advise about women I was interested in, but I have not seen someone fumble around as much as he does. He's the fantasy best friend character from the old teen movies of the '80's. Just my take on it. I'll step off the soapbox now and chase Leliana around for a while. :whistling:

I just started a game a classic female staff and spell mage who will romance him but I do it purely for roleplaying reasons. I guess he is good looking? (but I can't really judge that in men); his whinging however drives me insane!
ell46
Danscott I think your comment is open to interpretation, I don't hear Alastair actually asking Lel if she is a female, it's more stating the obvious and using it to start the conversation to ask for her womanly advice. It's similar to when you want to ask someone something which you think could be embarrassing and you start by saying "SO". I've noticed how many people do that including me. Stardusk again it could be your perception of him as I don't see him as what I would call a real whinger, he can lament all he likes on the loss of his friends etc as long he doesn't actually cry and shed tears. ell46
well if there is an alister out there in the real world he would not be an good looking guy like the alister in-game else he would be an arse, or a dick and chasing woman with those looks. that's why bioware did a great job(making fantasies come to life)and the woman drooling over him just like morrigan :whistling: I have to disagree in part with this, in my book a man being a virgin is nothing and isn't important as it was considered more important that the man knew what he was doing in that department than the woman, hence the expression 'sewing his wild oats' and yes there are or where real Alistairs in the world I know because I've got one and no he isn't or ever has been a womanising a/d some men don't actually realise what they have going for them. spets21
i didn't mean it that way lol well if there is an alister out there in the real world he would not be an good looking guy like the alister in-game else he would be an arse, or a dick and chasing woman with those looks. that's why bioware did a great job(making fantasies come to life)and the woman drooling over him just like morrigan :whistling: I have to disagree in part with this, in my book a man being a virgin is nothing and isn't important as it was considered more important that the man knew what he was doing in that department what i meant was if alister is real then this person would already be in a relationship by now married/gay or something. yes there are or where real Alistairs in the world I know because I've got one and no he isn't or ever has been a womanising a/d some men don't actually realise what they have going for them. sounds like you have the perfect catch there good for you. what i am saying here is that if there is a real alister in this world then he is not as near-perfect as the alister in-game.bioware created this splendid char simply because it appeals to woman as much as morrigan appeals to most men they probably did it on a survey to what really appeal on a fantasy game $.i am not saying that there are no alister in the world it's just that they already found someone else to begin with. :woot:

I don't think men like Alistair actually do the finding that's part of their charm. My perfect catch was a second attempt, I can't claim to be that lucky with the disaster my first catch was, far from it. I don't think there are many 'real men' these days, thanks to women wanting to have them changing nappies etc, there was a nice balance but it's gone too far, hope I don't offend, that's just what I see.
