What is the appeal of Alistair to females?

I suppose by domestic slave I meant a man who kowtows to the will and whim of his female partner, who without question subordinates his own wishes to those of his female partner. That is what I meant, I suppose, though the alternative you suggest is not bad either...

No I don't think the description given is that of someone who kowtows and I wouldn't want a man who kowtows, who could have respect for someone like that.

Since when did respect come into the equation?

To what extent ought a man subordinate his own wishes to your own then?

I think this thread has gone off track and agree to disagree.

Hah, fair enough.

I do think it is a shame that men get no such equivalent to Alistair.

We get either Morrigan or Leliana, none of whom represents any fantasy of mine...

You think that way?

Hmmm, in my mind it was always the way that the girls could decide between Alistair and Zevran and for the boys it is Morrigan and Leliana. But please correct me, these four characters are the only one which are "available" at the moment for me (i'm in an early stage of the game). As male i would go for Leliana, i think.

Maybe there are as many of Zevfangirls out there like Alistairfangirls?

I'm know someone who has played DA and is a girl and doesn't like to romance Alistair. She finds him not attractive but it doesn't mean that she out right hates him. Her favourite character is Morrigan and we both have fights over her character and how this impacts this and that impacts that etc. This is being discussed in the official forums (here if you wish to see) and it is interesting looking at female responses. I guess the reason why people especially women like Alistair is that they see him as a lost puppy waiting to be trained. But everyone has their own opinion in this matter.
