New to Modding

Yeah, FCOM is also a good "set" to check out, but like you said, it has a good few requirements so I didn't want to start you with it. Natural environments shouldn't get in the way of anything else, just make sure to either deactivate it or simply let new mods write over its pieces.

Are you planning on installing FCOM and it's components (or have you already)?

Planning to do it over the week end.

Natural Environments just alters (if I remember correctly) meshing and texturing for environmental files. If any of the FCOM components ask to overwrite them, then just click yes. You can also use OBMM to deactivate mods that you don't use and that might just conflict with new mods.

Have you already downloaded FCOM and it's components?

I found Natural Environments to be a very refreshing add. There are a couple of other immersion mods that help create more dynamic sounds as well. You should probably check those out if you want to stick with simple for now. FCOM doesn't change any of the environment or sound files as far as I know, so they'd be safe to use.

Hmmm I will look into that.

And I belive FCOM does add sound files for the monsters in MMM.

Here is a way to get a clean install without downloading or reinstalling - It also preserves your patch. and is completely reversible by moving the stuff you moved out back in.

Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla game

After looking around a bit the only mods I seems to be interested in is deadly reflex and FCOM, but FCOM is starting to look like a major endeavor...
