How can I make stealth armor?

You'll have to give the armor a unique object effect if it doesn't have one. After that you just add a new part to the effect called invisibility field or something like that and you're good.

Was that clear enough or should I go into more detail?

All right. First you'll need the geck, whatever version. In the top left-hand corner, you'll see the header file, with the drop-down "Data". Click on this and double click on fallout three.esm plus whatever else you want to load. Somewhat obviously, click "OK". It'll freeze up a few time loading, but just wait it out.

Now, in the upper left sidebar, there will be a list of categories in bold. Go to Items/Armor, and poke around until you find the one you want. A list of entities in the category will appear in the right part of the object window. Once you've found the one you want, double click on it. A new window will come up with all the info. Check and see if it has an object effect (It'll be on the right side of the window). Then head over to game effects/object effects.

If it did have an object effect, find it and make sure it's not referenced by anything else, which is done by right clicking and selecting "Use Info" from the drop down. If there's more than one, you should create a new object effect.

To create a new object effect, right-click and select "New". Then give it a name, ID(Make sure you can remember it) and mark it as apparel. I don't know what auto-calculate does.

Now, to add a new effect, you pull up the corresponding object effect, right-click on the effects list, and select new. Where it say "Script effect", go down until you see stealthboyinvis. Select this and click OK. Simple. Add this to the new effect if you made one, or the old effect if you're altering an already existing object effect. Now, to make sure it all worked, remember the ID of the object effect you altered. Then go back to the armor you want to edit, and make sure it has that object enchant. THIS MUST BE DONE. After that, it should all be dreary brown skies, so to speak. Save--it'll probably ask you to make a new plugin-- and quite, making sure it's activated in your load order. Lemme know if it doesn't work.
