bben46
Most eye problems are related to having too many 'beauty' type mods installed. Each one wants to control how the eyes look and you get something strange. black eyes, no eyes, googly eyes, strange color etc. Look for mods such as 'beautiful people' and any custom race mod. disable all of them and see if you get the vanilla eyes back. Then reinstall the mods one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem. Beautiful People was one of the early mods that changed eyes, and many of the later mods used a different technique causing a conflict resulting in strange eyes. Some race mods change the eyes while others do not.

yeldarb
I do not use cute elves, but the blackened faces are caused by missing or overwritten face textures-It can be fixed by applying another races face textures in the CS, or by reinstalling the mods textures. yeldarb
Oblivion Script Extender is a program that allows the Oblivion "engine"to run mods that the game was not designed to run. You should download it from TESNexus and install it. I believe the current version is 18.6. It is three programs that are installed in your Oblivion folder. You need to install the two files that end in .dll and the obse_loader.exe file. You need to pin the obse loader file to the icon you use to start the game. You will also want to create a folder in your Data file called OBSE and a file inside called Plugins (Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins) for installing some improvements to your game in the future.
