okay, i know im asking for lots of things recently, but, i just dont see the things i reall want on the site. the pikachu mod can go, as can the mehrunes sword. i want a Sword. but it must have these requirements;

1. it must look futuristic

2. it neds to look like it can rip someone in half.

3. step by step install instructions. this is because when ever i try to download a weapon of anykind, execpt for one whos model is already in the game, like the Razor, i get a candlestick ! thing.

a perfect example of a sword like this would be that girls sword from FF... wait, whats the newest one? anyways, thats what im talking about. but not exactly. i want it to be a weapon i can really can unique.

It sounds like maybe you are having difficulty installing your mods. Be sure to read the instructions in the readme file very closely. You get a yellow diamond with a black exclamation point when you have a missing mesh. You get a missing meshe when you install a mod wrong, or the mod is built wrong.

Most mods install like this:

Put the .esp, meshes folder, and textures folder into your "data" folder.

Say yes if asked about merging.

Your file paths needs to look sort of like this example for the final branches in the directory tree:

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Awesome Sword Mod.esp

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Awesome Sword Mod\AwesomeSwordMesh.nif

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Awesome Sword Mod Textures\AwesomeSwordTexture.dds

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Awesome Sword Mod Textures\AwesomeSwordTexture_n.dds

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Awesome Sword Mod Textures\AwesomeSwordTexture_g.dds

Examine your copy of the compressed downloaded mod and make sure that the file paths, whatever they happen to be, match the file paths in your Oblivion directories exactly. That is how you will know you installed it right. (You can also see if your missing meshe symbol is gone in-game, but if the mod is a bad mod then it will never work unless you mod it to fix it.)

oh, im opening the folders and dragging al the stuff in 'textures' to the 'textures' folder. so i just extract all the stuffm in the file except for the readme and images, and 'x' it in the files menu and play? okay, i got it.

to help things along for this guy i think there may be a lightnings sword mod already in the tesnexus site but you gotta check around first before you request this the picture above in the link is the sword used by Lightning the main character in Final Fantasy 13 (the newest game) if it helps the modder willing to take up the job for this guy just take the gun blade mod for squalls gunblade edit out the blade a little to make it smaller and a bit more curvier and put a blue stripe on the dull side of the blade and you're good to go i think.
