Piraka825612
Is there any way to export models from Dragon Age and use them to create new creatures in the Elder Scrolls 4? I kinda doubt it but, worth a try.
TheLastIstari
It is indeed possible. However, it's illegal to do so. And it's also against the rules to talk about such a thing.

yeldarb
If you think the armors, creatures and items from Dragon Age would be neat to have in Oblivion, then learn how to create your own meshes and textures and how to import them into Oblivion with the CS. Copying an item from one game into another is illegal, but if you make an item that looks similiar-you can upload it to a site like TESNexus. This is why you do have things from other games available for downloading. Pronam
Using, sharing or requiring assets from games is illegal as you're putting in a port that requires both games. Even if that person has the two games, companies still don't permit it as the usage for the models/textures is restricted to one game and their employees/places where they got it from are paid for one game. If it gets out a company permits it they have to pay for the whole of assets, so no...it's usually never permitted. You can do it on your own for personal usage and screenshots, just not anything else. bben46
It is OK to create from scratch something from another game. It is not OK to RIP it (take it directly) from their game and put it into another game. There are exceptions, some games do allow it, but we require some evidence - you saying you think it's OK, or some 3rd party site saying it is OK is not evidence. What we need is a link to an official site or some documentation that states their game assets may be legally copied. This is not our doing, it is a copyright thing that BethSoft and other game makers have enforced in the past. And we do not want to be sued for distributing copyrighted material. I do recommend that if you do make your own, make it enough different that it will not be reported as a rip. AND keep several intermediate step copies to show if challenged. If it is too close, and someone reports it, that means extra work for the staff to determine if it is a rip or a new mesh that just looks like the other one. We will put your mesh over theirs and see if it matches. A retexture over their mesh is not allowed. If you get caught uploading a ripped asset on TesNexus you will be banned.Bben46, Moderator
