terasat
Hello, I am new to the forums here, and I am at my wits end. I have enjoyed playing a rogue (no spells), and a warrior type character both no spells. But in other games I typically enjoy a mage type character. What I am looking for is a simple mod that, when crafting a new spell, reduces the magica cost by 25% or more % reduced by stat and level, and changes the damage of the spells based on Character level, and primary stat of the spell in question. Basic example is, at level 1 a 10 damage fire spell, 15 mana (for instance). At level 10 May do 25 damage, and cost 10 mana. I am also looking for a mod to edit already created spells, so that I can tweek them if possible. I already have a few mods installed to give me access to spell creation early as I think this is the best part of being a caster. Any input would be great. I have been searching for something for quite some time. Knowing my luck I probably overlooked something.
David Brasher
The spell-making station minigame has a lot of hardcoding in it. Things which modders cannot change. So some people have worked on making mods to get out around it. Like making an entirely new system to acquire spells. But the game engine is very poor at making custom spells in-game in any other way than through the spellmaking altar. So I think what you request might be impossible or else very difficult for someone who is very good with OBSE. In Oblivion, stats like willpower, intelligence, and destruction, are used in some of the calculations you mention. It is very easy to create whatever strength and cost and casting difficulty of any vanilla Oblivion spells you like within the CS. But that cannot be done in-game to match any and all unique player characters at all times. You might consider a mod where there is a vender who sells the most popular easy-to-cast customized vanilla spells you like in a wide variety of strengths to accommodate whatever your magicka reserves are at any particular time for any character class and level.
