QuornBigsby
Hey guys this may sound really nooby (if that's even a word) but I have been playing oblivion for a while now, trying out new mods and now all my mods have stopped working but I don't have a clue why. I have tried deleting the mods and re creating them, trying different ways of installing them like without OBMM, and even down to un-installing and re-installing the entire game! I thought I may have needed a new patch at first but then Remembered it was the GOTY version. Can someone please reply because i am clueless about what is happening thanks
bben46
What did you change on your computer between when mods worked and when they did not? This could be related to a hardware change, a update of some program, a windows update resetting UAC or any number of things. Does the vanilla game work? Including the DLCs? (test DLCs with horse armor as it is the quickest.)Did you remember to reinstall OBSE after reinstalling the game? What version of windows do you have?If you have Vista or Win7 did you install to the default location (Causes problems with mods)
QuornBigsby
Dlc's seem to work fine. The only change i remember being made is adding a mod which i deleted immediately. The normal game also works. Everything is as it should be but it seems that my mod using has been disabled. i use vista but nothing has been updated recently an yes i installed OBSE again but still nothing  thanks :)
bben46
Just unchecking a mod does not remove it entirely. It's possible some part got left behind. Here is a troubleshooting trick to completely remove all mods and all parts of the mods so you are left with just the vanilla game with the patch. Then add them back one or two at a time, testing each time until you find the problem. It's best to either redownload the mods for reinstall or use the original downloaded zipped file to reinstall - to prevent any corrupt mods from sneaking back in.
