Anthony477 Posted June 20, 2010 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Okay, for those of you who dont know what FCOM superpack is, its a collection of FCOM and all the overhaul mods with a step by step tutorial on how to install, I followed 90% of the steps carefully and accurately, with the exception of two sections. a) Install these main optimization plugins: - Streamline v3.1 Beta + Patch (install both). - Fast Exit v2.0 (copy in "Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion"). - Oblivion Script Optimization v1.0 SI Version (copy in "Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data"). - weOCPS 2009-03-28 (copy in "Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data"). I didnt do that simply because it felt like unnecessary work, and if it wasnt running smoothly id go back and install the optimization plugins. b) Open "Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy" - Run the file "bash.pyt", say "No" on the pop up. Once opened you'll see the mod list with many colummns, sort the mods by "Modify Date" there should be Oblivion.esm [sI] first and Streamline 3.1.esp last. - On the down-left side of the window there is a bar, check for "BOSS", if you hover the cursor on it, it will display "Launch BOSS", click on it and a txt file will open, done. Always on the down-left bar, there are a green and a red box, if you put the cursor on them, it will appear "OBSE Disabled" and "Auto-Quit Disabled, just check them to enable the OBSE support (this is supposed to be useful when running Oblivion directly from Wrye Bash) and to make Wrye Bash shut down after launching Oblivion. - Keep pressed the shift key, select all the mods (from the first to the last) then right click on a random mod and check "Mark Mergeable". - Check all the mods, leave unchecked only the RED ones AND "Mart's Monster Mod – Resized Races.esp". - Right click on "Basher Patch, 0.esp" select "Rebuild Patch". Organize Bash Patch options in this way: • Alias Mod Names - DON'T check • Merge Patches - Check EVERYTING • Import Cells - Check EVERYTING • Import Factions - Check EVERYTING • Import Graphics - DON'T check • Import Inventory - Check EVERYTING • Import NPC Faces - DON'T check • Import Names - Check EVERYTING • Import Relations - Check EVERYTING • Import Roads - DON'T check • Import Scripts - Check "Mart's Monster Mod – Hunting & Crafting.esp" • Import Sounds - DON'T check • Import Spell Stats - DON'T check • Import Stats - Check EVERYTING • Tweak Assorted: * Bow R. Fix * DarNified Books * Nvidia Fog Fix (only Nvidia) * Right H. Rings • Tweak Clothes * Gloves Show Rings * Robes Show Amulets • Tweak Names - DON'T check • Tweak Settings: * Arrow: Litter Count [25] * Arrow: Litter Time [3 Minutes] * Arrow: Recovery From Actor [70%] * Cell Respawn Time [10 Days] * Combat: Recharge Weapons [Disallow] * Essential NPC Uncnsciusness [30 Seconds] * Greeting Distance [100] * Horse Turning Speed [x 2.0] * Magic: Chamaleon Refraction [Zero] * Msg: Equip Misc. Item [None] • Cobl Catalogs - Check • Cobl Exhaustion - Check EVERYTING • Contents Checker - Check • Leveled Lists - Check -> Automatic • Morph Factions - DON'T check • Power Exhaustion - DON'T check • Race Records - DON'T check • SEWorld Tests - DON'T check - Select OK and wait the loading, when it's finished close Bash. Simple problem with that is, when I run bash.py, it opens a command prompt window for a fraction of a second, then nothing happens. Ive attached the entire install tutorial, and I did everything in the guide, but Oblivion crashes on startup, which usually happens, as i remember, when im missing an .esm. If you guys can see any im missing, please tell me so I can find it. Im running Windows 7 64bit with Oblivion, all DLC, SI, and no other mods other then those included in FCOM. FCOM seems like such an awesome mod but its such a hassle, any help would be awesome. AxelDominatoR Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 Is there a file called "Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw"? If yes try running it. If you have the same problem (command console opening for a second and quickly closing) then you have a bad installation of Python or Wrye Bash, so it's better if you install them again from their original packages here: Wrye Bash and Python Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AxelDominatoR Posted June 24, 2010 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Yes, this is strange.It is just a supposition, but sometimes Oblivion gives problems when run under Vista/7 into the default install folder (problems with UAC). Try to move the Oblivion folder under C:\Games\Oblivion and see if something changes (both with wrye bash and mods issues). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Even with no mods activated but Oblivion.esm... Is there any place I could go to get professional help with people who might be able to help with this? Probably a stupid question but whatever.
