adamskii97
A while back I made a few weapon mods and when I tried putting my textures on they worked in blender but not on either nifScope or the game...I suspect this is something to do with the little "_n" after the file names on the original textures but I dont know how to do this. Please Help
TodaY
A while back I made a few weapon mods and when I tried putting my textures on they worked in blender but not on either nifScope or the game...I suspect this is something to do with the little "_n" after the file names on the original textures but I dont know how to do this. Please Help An _n after a filename indicates a normalmap. The normalmap affects how much light your weapon reflects, and which parts. Without a normalmap your weapon will look black. But when naming the colour (or base, as I call it) texture, don't include an _n at the end. That will cause problems. There's great tutorials on normalmap making at the CS wiki: Tutorial on normalmaps. If you're using vanilla textures, just make sure the texture doesn't have an _n or a _g (_g indicates glowmap, look at the daedric armor in dark areas) at the end Happy modding
