Transfer face from one save to another?

So I have been playing with the toolset trying to do this, but was never successeful.

I have a human male save, and a male elf save to. I hate my elf face, so I want to transfer the human face to my elf face using the toolset.

Normally, the game doesn't allow to have goatees and mustaches on elves, but i know through the toolset it is possible, but only those that are only a texture, not those that actually pop out (probably bad choice of words, sorry if my english isn«t the best). My human had a beard, if that is possible I would like to transfer them to.

However... I'm afraid that I have some bad news for you. You can't put a human head on an elven body, and have it look right. The humans and elves use two seperate meshes, and they are sized differently (elves are about 30% smaller). so you'd end up with a body that has a head on it that's too big.

 

Now, however.... IF you wanted to go This way.....

You could use the console command to give your elf character a human body, and the head and body would work together. people would still refer to you as an elf, but you won't LOOK like an elf anymore.

and the script that you would want to run is

runscript appearance 15

 

15 is human. to revert back to an elf, it would be

runscript appearance 2

or runscript appearance -1 (both will work. 2 is for elf. -1 is just an "undo" )

I'm not going to use the elf with a human body thing because I think it kind of ruins the emersion, but the other link you gave me will help a lot!

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I wanted to BE an elf, I'd want to LOOK like an elf! So I completely understand. I did feel that I should offer it as a possibility for you to use tho. :wink:

 

Also, if you can figure out how to add beards and mustaches to an elven face in the toolset... you can then save the morph, as a name that you will remember. And then use the tutorial to where it gets to where it tells you where to copy the morph name from. Then just type in the name of your new elven face morph instead.
