Mod Request: Dettachable Robot Companion

I was thinking, and it came across my mind about the idea of having a type of robot companion that could per say stay attached to your back, or something like that, and whenever you wanted, you could activated this robot companion and have it help you. It would be like a spider robot, and when you activated it, it would crawl of your back and attack enemies. This would suit stealth players who find companions annoying when at stealth, for they sometimes get in the way or attract enemies. I know this would be very hard to do, but I believe it would be a great mod for the new vegas nexus community.

Sure I understand what your getting at and you can definitely fake it. Essentially it involves using a token and a armor addon as a facade of your bot, worn on your person. I could put that together for you as a smaller eyebot, which I think is a superior solution to a spider bot, but if you locate a working spider bot on nexus I guess I could do that too. If there isn't one, I believe OWB has some meshes like a spider bot, and we have the skleton for the spider bots in the NV BSAs so it might still be possible...but I probably wouldn't want to get wrapped up in that right now.

You could also add a script that would simulate you remote controlling the bot (changes your POV, allows you to move the bot around etc). Then it could function something like a little stealth/scout/recon bot, as well as attacking. I had something similar in mind for a specific mission in my Sunset mod through a heavily irradiated reactor core's cooling vents/tunnels.

Oh, your Sunset mod! How is that going?

I was thinking that you could take a scorpion bot from OWB and shrink it, then remove the tail. Add a shrunken turret bot (like in the BoS bunker) to the top of it. Then have an inventory item that activates/recalls it.
