Deleted1848331User
Also, the cloud talking to you is just as lore-breaking as making Sithis an NPC. Sithis will not speak to the player, ever. He talks to the night mother. While that may be true, it would still be awesome lol. And I was just kidding about that one. To the comment below, thats a awesome idea. zprospero
Well, technically, there is no being, not even the Night Mother, who can converse with Sithis. He is not so much an entity as a force, the nothingness from the beginning of time, the black space between the stars. The Night Mother is called the 'Bride of Sithis' but appears to be more a disciple. She runs the Dark Brotherhood.Sithis does not act. Sithis waits. There is one way that is not lore-breaking. It has to be a trick. Mephala is often confused with Sithis (and no doubt he/she enjoys that). You could concoct a plot where Mephala takes on a certain form and claims to be Sithis. Let's face it, some of the Dark Brotherhood members are not that bright, and very few are 'religious' enough about Sithis to know that a physical manifestation is an impossibility. This would allow you to have the NPC and provide a considerable plot twist when the player would discover that it is not on behalf of Sithis, but of the Daedric Prince. Mephala is the patron of the Morag Tong, who dislike the Dark Brotherhood considerably, which would provide some interesting conflict. This is the only way I can imagine to actually speak with an NPC or whatever and call it 'Sithis' without breaking the lore.
solo077
Sorry Tobo, but I must agree with them. Sithis *is* nothing. But I always wanted an extended Dark Brotherhood questline too.. I think it would be better if somone got a mod team together for this - I'm afraid my capabilities are limited, as you probably noticed while I was making Wandering Nazgul (even though I only spent a day or two on it). kieranfoy
Me, I always figured the Night Mother IS Mephala, and she simply enjoys seeing the Bortherhood and Morag Tong at war with each other. It's said the Androgyne loves pitting those who should be friends against it other. Even said it herself. Should be a clue. And I figure the Dark Brothers Z refers to would be considered fairly religious, but in a 'Fluffy Bunny' way, sort of like a Wiccan who casts spells out of one of those books you find in the thrift store or a Christian who thinks angels all have pretty wings and used to be human. People who don't grasp the subtleties of thier beliefs, but believe the religious (or cultish, in the DB's case) equivalent of 'lies to children.' I actually really, REALLY like Z's idea. Even if it would involve my characters being a pawn, yet AGAIN!
tobolococo
There are like 20 DB questslines and expansions There is a rule that says check before you ask ... you know im getting tired of you saying that in this post, in my other db post, for the last time i ask for something unique and my personal perfect version of a db mod, please dont comment anymore, just go away. tobolococo
If you don't like any of the current offerings, why not look forward to one in the future? A large mod is planned for release sometime this year. At a site all about it, you can see all the details. Perhaps this might be what you want. thanks ! tobolococo
I am currently discussing a DB overhaul with one of my tem members, we might do it. But don't expect us to listen completely to your directions. However, if you'd like some input, please add me on msn (adress can be found on profile) alright here it is take it or leave it, my suggestions dont only make hq (sanctuaries) also make safehouses that serve as a rest and resuply place for travelling assassins (armories) thats the main thing i would like and the QL has to have twists and turns, if you decide on doing this, i can help you with ideas, if you like them you can add them and if dont, well dont add them. tobolococo
Lol I read that and thougt ... right.... whats the point of commenting if you dont like it nor give constructive criticisim, or any new ideas to the table, dont you have anything better to do, rather than be a pain for people trying to figure a new mod.
