tobolococo Posted June 21, 2010 Share Posted June 21, 2010 This has no relation with my other DB request, this is a different request in which i ask for a mod that adds DB sanctuarys all over the game world, whe are always told that the cheydinhall sanctuary is but one of many, spread across the capital province but its trully the only one, i would actually want not only sanctuarys but armories spread in some points too, the sanctuarys could be located in any fort, just mod the fort so as to not have any enemies and you know add npcs and all that, just a couple of DB murderers roaming around will do it, the armories (which also serve as safehouses) could be located in some of the farms or houses spread across the world, i guess no one would miss a farm that gives no quests if it is replaced by a DB armorie, that leads me to something else: Armories: -Armories should have a DB person (possibly unique named in each armory) guarding it and should be full of DB weapons and armor Armor and weapons: -I would want you to create some especiall DB weapons, like a DB long sword, a DB dagger, a DB bow, etc. im not taking about shadowhunt, blade of woe, just vanilla unenchanted DB weapons (that you would have to create, i know its a lot of work but it would be really cool to have DB equipment in the DB armories rather than say an iron claymore) - The armors we have are good, no need for a new one, if you want you can do it but if not just fill the armories with some Shrouded Armors around - i would want the armors and weapons in armories to be spread around and free to take rather than in a closet or buyable, and if possible i would want them to respawn say 10 minutes after you take them Other things: - I would want every armory and sanctuary to be locked with a key (no lockpick) till you are inside the DB, when you are, ocheeva would give you a DB Master Key along with your armor and that key would open every armory and sanctuary - I would want the markers in the map to say "DB Armory", "DB Sanctuary" and when you join the DB you get all the map markers. I realize this would be a difficult mod, and it would take its time, but there are some really great modders out there and this (i think) would appeal to everyone, and create no controversy, like the other request, since it would actually help lore, and gameplay. Someone please take this on, i will give all the help you require as in possible locations etc. and of course i will be very thankfull. Raqel Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 While I've been keeping it mostly under wraps, I've been in the process of adding sanctuaries to every city, much like the Cheydinhal one. They are not carbon copies, as I have seen some mods do, but full, unique sanctuaries with their own individual NPCs. I've almost fully created Skingrad, and have started on Anvil, and have most of the maps drawn out for the other cities. Its been in the works for a long while, but I'm sure I can get it done. I don't, however, have the ability to add AI to the NPCs, as there is a glitch with my version of the CS and it crashes every time I do anything with. It is possible for me to do this mod, and I can add unique forts, and houses to accommodate the armories. Instead of a key for each sanctuary, I could probably work with the script on the Black Door and have it work the same way as it would otherwise, and when you reach the rank of Executioner (I believe that's what it was, either that or Eliminator) when you receive the key Ocheeva gives you, you can open the well entrance/exit. Along with all of this, I will also be extending the Cheydinhal Sanctuary so it matches the other sanctuaries with size, and also adds Speaker's Quarters and Listener's Quarters (as that's where everyone expects the Listener to reside!). I've got a lot of plans for my sanctuaries. Meshes and Textures are not my strong suit, but I could probably figure something out. I could use the default Shrouded Armor mesh, and just make unique textures. One for a blade specialty, one for marksman, and other such enchantments. I could even create one, that you must buy, that is nearly a god item which has enchantments similar to the Black Hand robes, but is armor instead. There's a lot of potential with just using the default mesh for the armor and robes. I could even get permission from Slof to use her version of the Black Hand robes, but maybe tweaked a little bit. Weapons, on the other hand, I'm at a loss. I've seen some decent blades, and could probably use them, but it'll take a lot of looking and research to get it all figured out. I know of a few blades that were used in the Dark Brotherhood Cemetery that was recently released by Buddha. All in all, I've been working on a similar mod, but some of the things I am unable to do and will need some help in creating. However, I do have a team that I can fall back on for certain things such as working with AI and voice overs. Its been started, but is a long way from being completed. Each sanctuary will be unique from the next, and even Kvatch will have its own (though it will be damaged, considering the destruction of the city).
