Is it possible

that there is a mod that allows you to disable and enable overrides from in game, rather than having to quite navigate to the override folder, remove file etc etc restart game?

If there isn't is there anyone that would consider doing one........please

What I'm thinking is for overrides like natural bodies and pretty in pink, seeing all these dead naked people lying and hanging around in Cailan's case isn't very nice.

This I am not sure can be done without rewriting the games' code itself. I know that the dazips go into the addon folder, and from there in the game menu can be turned on/off like other DLC. However, the override folder does not work the same way, and the only way I can think to make it work the same is to rewrite the games' lines of code. An actual programmer could probably answer this better than I, but this is the impression I get with how the two variations of mods work.

That's what I was thinking, but didn't know how long winded or difficult it might to do. I didn't realise you can turn dazips off from withing the game? I know there is something in the journal about DLC but from what I saw it's just information you can't actually do anything with it or am I wrong.

OK this is probably really stupid idea, but can someone turn an override folder/file into a dazip file themselves?

On this I could be wrong having not made any dazip file, but I think in the toolset a dazip is created by making a builder to user file. To make the override files into dazips you would either have to have the author make them into one, or get the builder to builder file to make one yourself. Like I said, I could be wrong on this, and someone who has actually made the dazips would be better able to tell you for sure.

And yes the dazip files, for example Witherbark, can be turned on/off from the main game menu. Just go into the downloaded content menu, then click the installed contect tab at the top. This will bring a list of all installed content (DLC and dazips, not override) with a check mark next to them. Just click the check mark and it will disable the selected mod/DLC. I used to use the turn Leliana into an elf mod, and on occasion would use this feature depending on which character I was playing (my Dalish male was not comfortable romancing only humans :whistling: ).

I thought you had to quit the game to get to the download menu, is there a way to get to it without quitting and reloading?

I was thinking it would be easier if you could turn things on and off from something in the journal.

Well, in this case, there's an alternative to making the change over yourself.

They have a simpler version of Natural Bodies, which you can install manually. You just install the core files, then throw in the models that you want to use. If somebody were to set that up in a folder ahead of time in a seperate folder, then zip it up, then install it the same as any other mod thru DAM or DAMM.

Or... install the core files like you normally would any other mod, then go into your documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override folder (or if it goes to the addins folder) then over write the body files that you wish to use.

However, not all mods show up in that list in the downloaded content. So that COULD be a snag.

here's the non-override files version of natural bodies. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=221

tho I'll also point out that he has fewer model options in this one, than in nbaio.

But yeah, you'd still have to stop, exit the game, uncheck it to deactivate it, then restart.

In case you did not know, Natural Bodies was made by NewByPower, and Realistic Look by Adriangi. I think the NBAIO is a combo of the two compiled by Adraingi, so to get the options like NBAIO has, you would need the other seperate mods downloaded. At least that is what I have been doing with the manual method.

Thanks guys nothing fits with what I'd like to do, so I'll just have to put up with naked Calien and bodies all over the place  To exit the game make changes and the reload would be a complete mood killer for me.

Same here. It's been years and years since I did any programming and I can't remember much at all, because it wasn't something I got the chance to do regularly enough to stick.

My thoughts were going along the lines of having something like DAMM within the game that you could access through the journal and disable or enable at will, how it could be done is why I figure it is probably impossible, There could be other override mods that I don't use that could be included but my main annoyance is natural bodies, switching between naked and small clothes  when you don't want to see dead naked people all over the place :yucky:

It was probably the shock I had in one game that was finished. After reading I think it was something you said about taking all their kit and selling it. I exported my character into Awakening, but made a last trip to camp to do just that, BUT I later loaded that game to play Return to Ostagar, completely forgot about taking their kit and was greeted with the site of the whole camp standing around naked   I thought all their armour had disappeared, I enabled the mods for that game and still they were naked I then went into a complete panic trying to work out what on earth I had done, was it a corrupted file ????? I loaded game after game and got many naked people, including most of the men in Denerim in one. Figuring I had somehow corrupted all my saves and sitting outside in the dark with a coffee and feeling so down, daylight slowly dawned that it was a mix of disabled mods and me forgetting I had stripped everyone naked for profit and the saves where all fine.
