Sorry for my earlier post ... chalk it up to me having a very blond day :confused::)

I have played through the game several times and love it. The shoot-em-up style gets old pretty quickly though and while the game does allow multiple methods ... the end result is still always the same.

 

I had a concept in mind that would introduce a more interactive feel ... develope relationships with other NPC's other than merchant driven.

 

I wrote a rather lengthy script ... summary follows.

 

I am looking for people who might be interested in helping. Let me know if you have an interest in seeing the full doc or have someone in mind that might be.

Sioux Falls (Not for low or negative karma players)

 

Concept

 

100+ years before the player is born ... The Commonwealth built a very secure isolated settlement. 12 Scientists and their staff / families fled the Boston area after total government collapse. They have a 5 member tactical team to assist in sample and data collection around the wasteland. They have developed processes like Phytoremediation ... a process using specific plant types to clean the soil of radioactive material. By design, the settlement has Cryo-storage of Seed Stock, Embryos and Sperm Samples ... and of Technological Designs. Through a founding benefactor, they are economically self-sustaining.

 

This is where Catherine was born ... where James met and married her.

 

Integration

 

The player is given teaser info and a map maker and travels there. After some time he is invited to join their group and their tactical team to accelerate their objectives (rid the environment of radioactive elements and introduce means for people to start self-sustaining living processes)

 

The player interaction with the settlements people and the TAC team members is not based on leader follower but interactive play with appropriate dialogue.

 

Integration with existing and DLC missions is intelligent and allows useful development of unique weapons, armor and food.

 

 

Environment

 

The valley is large 1000 acres or so ... The player can choose to live in Sioux Falls or simply reside there periodically. There are shops that supply both standard and unique customized weapons, armor and ammunition. Scientific and medial staff can assist in many levels.

 

Crops and animals are farmed in the isolated valley ... they have had 200 years to rebuild and have cleaned up this environment (restored their soils and ground water to near pre-war levels).

 

Organization

 

There is no leader per say ... the medical, scientific and tactical groups all work cooperatively with a common objective. The player can stay grounded in their tasks or mix with the settlements ... as they choose.

 

They settlement still has covert contact with the Commonwealth which gives them limited access to information and direction of both themselves and their funding agents ... the Enclave.

Re-united with of a Grandfather

Retribution for Paradise Falls

Logical Conclusion for Oasis

Unique Relationship with "Follower / Companion"

Resolution of Vault 87 and the Mutant's objectives

 

Background

 

Mission integration and new character dialogue gives a "six degrees of separation" feel to provide the how / why / what’s-next environment for the player ... ideal set-up for continuation mod’s.
