new idea for a mod for Oblivion. xD

i just had an awesome idea. i would start working on it right now if i had any modding experience. but i don't. i just watched one of the best movies of all time.

well, it's one of the best as my personal opinion. disagree if you like.

i had this thought as i got done watching the movie. i decided to post it here to see what everyone thought about it.

does anyone out there like the movie Princess Mononoke? i've seen some complete overhauls out there that contained content of other games mixed in with Oblivion,

such as DUNE or Morrowind and other games like that.

or is mods for overhauls such as DUNE a separate worldspace? nevertheless, it's still quite a big project that was created.

well. out of all the overhauls i've seen, i never saw a mod that has completely changed the way Oblivion looked based on any movie.

i like Princess Mononoke a lot. i think it would be awesome to see a complete overhaul of Oblivion and Princess Mononoke combined.

i also haven't seen any ideas out there such as this one, so i'm posting it here and now.

anywayz, how many people out there thinks that this is an awesome idea like i do? like in the movie, it seemed to me that Ashitaka was the main character. so if a

mod was made for Oblivion based on this movie, the main character should be Ashitaka.

how many of you think this is a good idea? how many of you would want to work on a project like this?

as i said before, if i had any experience whatsoever in modding, i would start on this right away.

if making a complete overhaul is damn near impossible, then i would go for making playable characters such as Ashitaka ans San and companion such as the wolves

from the Wolf clan.

how many of you would like to try working on a project like this?

i think it can be done. it may take a long time to complete, but i think it would be worth it.

 

if posts like this one should be somewhere else such as requests(if there are any) or other areas, please let me know and i'll move it(if i can).

in my personal opinion, a mod like this would only make playing Oblivion so much more fun. i spend enough time playing Oblivion (several hours a day), but this would

just increase my liking for Oblivion.

Good idea, but difficult to create. I would support such an effort. But requests this large rarely are fulfilled.

Sad to say, that is right. Most mods requests like this are never fulfilled. Actually, most of the movie mods that recreated the Oblivion world like this I don't think I've ever seen done. Game mods I've seen a lot of. If I was as advanced a modder as some people, I would definitely do this. So far all I can do is placing stuff, scripting, etc... Mostly basic stuff. Maybe in a year or so I would be able to do this, I don't know if I'll still be modding then though.
