AltreU Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Knowing Roberts would be incompatible with my custom race, I installed it anyways. I've got a simple humanoid race (which should be using imperial textures and meshes), but of course it's got the wrapping issue. I had read something a couple of months back that could resolve this, but I can't remember anything at all about it. I'm wanting to think that making a texture folder for the race would be the answer, but it wouldn't make sense for the game to just magically detect the folder and use the textures. Unless I'm right, any solutions?
yeldarb Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 You just need to reassign the files your race uses for male bodies with the CS. Assign your race as the active file and make sure Oblivion and Roberts are also checked when You reassign the files.
AltreU Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 Oh, perfect! It works now, thanks! This works with any (humanoid) race?

AltreU Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 By "humanoid", I mean things that also look human (non-Khajiit/Argonian/Xivilai/whatever other creatures). I would also like to apply the HGEC textures to the female of my race. Suggestions? While this is still being viewed, I've gotten a new shader: http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=30441Where exactly is this placed? Yes, I have OBGE.
Naktis Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 There is a mod High Rez Skin Textures for HGEC maybe you'll find it here :)
AltreU Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 There is a mod High Rez Skin Textures for HGEC maybe you'll find it here :) I've got every moded skin texture you'd need, but I need to apply them correctly to my female character. My custom race is used to test out new mods that I download (so basically, it's stats are ridiculous and it has extremely powerful spells and abilities created via Construction Set). I test most Imperial textures and meshes with it as well as hair and eye mods. It's essentially my album race and has access (at creation) to every human fitting hairstyle (non-Argonian) and all eyes (regardless of race). I used FaceGen to create it's basic look. So, it's being a reference is important for my creating of new races and adding custom things to them. I'd like to start uploading some of them, but I don't want them to be faulty or too basic.
yeldarb Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I think any OBGE plugin would go into the folder as OBSE plugins, but I could be wrong. The most Important thing to remember about using custom textures with any race is that you have a male and female body texture, but just one face texture for both sexes. This is the reason I also keep quite a few race mods, even if I never use them. I always have to edit plugins in the CS to try and have matching body and face textures. I am used to this and I can fix the issues faster than the CS takes to load with the mods I want to fix active.
