ironfistchamp
Yeah Ok so I've gone into shops in the IC and stolen things. But weeks later they haven't restocked. Dead bodies have been there for months now. I heard things are meant to come back and bodies dissapear. I saw a mod to change the time in which this happens. Why isn't my stuff coming back and dissapearing? have I got the wrong end of the stick? BTW I don't have that mod I mentioned installed. If anyone could shed some light on this I would really apreciate it Thanks Ironfistchamp PS: How much does chameleon rule :D

ironfistchamp
PS: How much does chameleon rule :D A lot  Hehe damn rite. Even just 20% adn master sneak can leave enemies totally confused as to where that daedric longsword came from and why it battered their friend over the head. Got any info on the respawning? Malchik
Hmm - SeanFitzey that kind of response is deemed spam! Please read the rules before posting. IFC - I don't know the details but I think you will find it is the shopkeepers' inventories that respawn and possibly the items in the cupboards. I am not sure that items on open display do respawn. (I don't know for a fact but my experience suggests this.) Dead bodies of generic creatures (human or otherwise) do disappear and respawn fairly regularly but not the bodies of named NPCs and cetain specific creatures such as the trolls in swampy cave. These are there unless you use the console to resurrect or disable them. For example - the battle between bandits and marauders to control Rockmilk cave happens every time I go there (usually weekly). It's a good place to stock up on armour, weapons and especially arrows. At my current level - 17 - the armour is mithril and orcish and the weapons glass and ebony. I go there mainly to level up in specific skills rather than collect the booty but as I am trying to become a master of mercantile that is an added bonus. ironfistchamp
Oh rite I think I understand. Should chests get gold back. They don't appear to. Like the ones in caves. They seem to stay empty.
Malchik
Your post is ambiguous so I'm not quite sure what you are asking. The chests in caves respawn contents unless they were always empty, which a few are. If you are finding them empty you are not allowing enough time to elapse before rechecking. There may, however be some chests that have the respawning feature turned off. This is certainly true of chests in the houses you buy or it wouldn't be safe to leave anything in them. (The contents are replaced in the respawn.) It may also be that chests where taking the contents is thieving do not respawn. But as I said I don't know the details. odark
The respawn timer is set to 3 standard days on any given cell.
ironfistchamp
Malchik I'm talking about chests in caves where bandits are. On my brothers Oblivion these bandits and chest contents respawn mine don't. I'm not particularly bothered anymore as some cells do respawn. Just makes the game a little harder. Malchik
Well then I suspect you must have a mod conflict somewhere. Are you running many mods?
ironfistchamp
Yeah a few. I'll mess around until I get it. Thanks Ironfistchamp
