IceEEXY
I have little mod experience but I want to "improve" this game in terms of better textures and better faces/expressions (no mechanics-changing mods yet). I want to improve the atmosphere without changing the gameplay very much. I know about .dazip files and how to install them since I have a few of the original mods/bonus content. I also know about the mod manager programs. However, some mods I want to install do not come as a .dazip but as an .exe (JBtextures, DA Redesigned). Is there a way to mod-manage these mods? Another mod comes as a .tlk (detailed tooltips mod), I know where to put it, but is there a way to mod-manage this mod? I'm fairly confident I can install these without problems, but I'd like to mod-manage them if possible --- I like to be organized. Thanks!

Hey Ice  Most MODs will tell you how to install them (e.g. if you need to put them in daupdater.exe or if you need to put them in the Coreoverride folder. I think that your .tlk MOD needs to go into the override folder that can be found here: My Documents -> [bioware] -> Dragon Age -> Packages -> Core -> override Hope that helped :turned:
DarkeWolf
Ice- it kinda depends on what you mean by "manage" and the mod itself, and what tools you're using. If you mean whether or not you can install/uninstall them all from one central program.... it kinda depends on the mod (in reference to those .exe files). If you're using an installer like da modder or da modmanager, MOST mods are pretty simple to handle thru them. Even if they are one of the "extract and place in the override folder" type of mod. For files that go into the override folder, all you do is extract them into a new, custom folder somewhere on your computer, then zip up the folder using winzip, winrar, 7zip, peazip, or whatever other zip program you use, then drag and drop (DnD) the new zip folder into da modder or da modmanager. You can then uninstall the files from there if you need to.The tooltips mod that you referred to, could be done like that, since it goes into the override folder. With those .exe files, it just all depends. If they are an actual external program that runs outside the game, then most likely not. If all they do is install files into the documents/bioware/dragon age/ packages/core/ override folder then yeah, you could IF it will allow you to choose where to install the files to. If so, then just install the files to a custom folder, zip the folder up and DnD it into da modder or da modmanager. However, if they install files to a different location than that, no you can't with DaM or DaMM. Because they only install to either Override or Addins.
