EvadniKonkori
Hello, first off I'm really glad I came across this site, I've spent the last day and a half gathering mods to play Oblivion once again. I've run into a problem though, I notice that my face/body textures aren't as good looking as what I see in screenshots, as they seem blotchy and without as much detail. If I'm completely missing something, please let me know. I don't want to list ALL the mods I'm using unless I need to, but the ones I think would matter are: Natural FacesHGEC BodyBeautiful PeopleRen's Beauty PackMoonshadow Elves I also have the unofficial patch, and OOO installed. Thanks for any help!
yeldarb
To get high resolution skin you will need high resolution skin textures. Ozmos' is probably the most popular for HGEC(TESNexus php?id 20022). Beautiful People is a Compilation, It already has Ren's, and a few custom races included, but you want the most current version you can get.You may run into "googly"eyes because of Elaborate Eyes.I need to read about natural faces so I will add to this post.EDIT 5:37 P.M. CST U.S. I looked at a similiar topic and Lfact recommended trying either Natural Faces or Improved Facial Textures TESNexus php?id 5643 to improve the faces before installing a High Resolution Texture Replacer. Eiries
First off, make sure your textures are set to Large. Next, use whatever software may have come with your graphics card to put things like texture filtering to high. Pretty much max yourself out. If you're using the Moonshadow Elf race, I recommend giving this a try. Open your Oblivion.ini file, located in your Documents/My Games/Oblivion and and Ctrl+F search for facegen. Should be something like bAllowFaceGenTexturing=1 or something (not in front of my rig.) Set it to 0 and save. This'll shut off all the face texture sliders, results in a much smoother, neater face. Of course, if your character is super pale it might not be your thing. If it's not, set it back to 1. But Moonshadow Elves have more than enough makeup already in their face textures: you don't need much more from the game. zany chimp
Maybe it's your graphics card? I know mine can't even process as good as the "before" picture!
