xfenrisx
First of all, I'm not a newbie to installing mods (at least on DAO)...however, I have finally encountered an issue I couldn't fix by myself. Yesterday, I installed a slew of new armor mods to test out, since I am getting terribly bored looking at the same armor all the time. Here's the issue: When I try to go to my inventory to check out these new armors, I scroll down a bit and BOOM, DAO crashes for no apparent reason. So my question is, is there any way I can figure out which mod is causing the crash? Or do I have to uninstall everything and start from scratch? (Oh, and if it makes any difference, I use DAO Modmanager v1.9d to install everything...)
xfenrisx
Okay, I figured out what happened....for some reason, the file I downloaded for the Song of the Rose armor was corrupted...still trying to figure out why it messed up but my DAO is working and that's what's important. :} Nevermind, it is still happening... DarkeWolf
Heyas xfenrisx! Welcome to the nexus! Sorry that a trouble is whats got you posting with us for the first time. Ok, no you shouldnt have to uninstall everything to get past this. Tho I would say that one of the mods you've got isn't right, and until it gets fixed you should uninstall that one. What I'd recommend doing is deactivating all of them, go into the game, and then create a new, clean save, name it something like Clean Save 1, and then exit the game.Go back in, and activate One of the mods. Load your clean save, and then check to see if it crashes. If not, exit (dont save) and try another one. Rinse and repeat til you find the problem child, then deactivate that one again. It should then be safe to resave the game once you have the problem nailed down to which one is causing it. Then you should contact the author of the mod and politely ask them to either check their upload, or to reupload as the files may have corrupted in transit. Hope that this helps!
