dandelo44
Hello all, been a long time since I've played oblivion, switched computers and never got around to installing it on the newer one. I've tried to, just recently, find and install all of the old mods I used when i played before. and i have, w/the addition of some new and exciting sounding ones. more to the point tho, after finding and installing these mods as per instructions, i realize now there are conflicts, but ones that dont seem detrimental to the game, at least not enough so to make me crash. it seems that since i've left the imperial sewers, right at the beginning of the game, any door i try to enter crashes me to desktop after i load, as well as any place i try to fast travel to crashes me. i'm ready to start fresh but would like another person's suggestion, i can let u see my list of mods, maybe im just missing something that's a bad conflict that i dont really know about or didnt read about in any descriptions. thank you all for your attention, its much appreciated I see the conflicts btwn "MMM" and "StockClothingArmor-forExnems" are the skins for each of their imperial dragon armor The 2nd conflict on the list is between "Ren's" and the "Male Body Replacer v4" "Visual Enhancements v1.0" conflicts w/the update for less fire in "Visual_Enhancements_Less_Fire"
yeldarb
(1) If you use Windows Vista or 7 install Oblivion outside of Program Files to avoid UAC monitoring. I use C:Games\Oblivion. (2) Use the Unnoficial Oblivion Patch(es). The patch eliminates the need for a custom race fix and fixes the mistakes Bethesda Softworks left in the game. The patch is also available as an OMOD (TESNexus php?id 5296) (3) You will have conflicts that are in red between a body replacer and another mod that adds races, this is normal. I do not use OOO,MMM,FCOM personally, but I do know that you need quite a few patches for them to work with clothing and armor replacers.(4) I will recommend using BOSS (TESNexus php?id 20516), this program will sort your load order and it gives you a readout with tips and hints on which plugin to use for one mod to work with another. Tomlong54210
In the future, please just post your load order. It would be easier to read if you used one of the more standard methods: http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=know_how_to#PostYourLoadOrder
