bben46
Fallout3, and its voices work fine in Win7. It works better with mods if it is installed outside of the UAC protected Program files folders. I recommend making a new folder - C:\Games\Fallout3 and installing there. Just like Vista. Make sure your sounds and voices are turned on in the game. Be sure your sound card works properly with Win7. Mine didn't at first, and I had to replace it as the maker didn't have a 64 bit driver that would work with Win7. If you use a separate sound card, be sure any on board sound chip is disabled, either in the BIOS or the system settings - you may try plugging your speakers into the motherboard sound out to see if it is sending the sound through the wrong device. If you are still having voice problems, look at your install to see if the BSA files are in the data folder (Fallout3\Data) Look forFallout - Sounds.BSAFallout - Menu/voices.BSAFallout - Voices.BSAThose are the ones with the voices in themThen if you have any mods that modify the vanilla voices - they will replace the bsa voices on startup. To revert to the vanilla voices , remove any mods that change or add to the voices.
