Thoreai
Hello ! A few dayes ago i downloaded the Cm partners mod basic and it was really great, but after a hour of gameplay my game kept crashing when using quick travel or when i entered towns with my partner (at the start it was working fine). So i gone trough my mod list and tried to figure out what could couse it, turning mods off and back, wich didnt helped. I looked for a solution but havent found anything just a few guesses from players wich had similiar problems. At first i tought giving the partner custom items did those crashes so i reninstalled it and kept playng without giving the items to my partner but the result was the same, at the begging i could fast travel or enter towns but after an hour crashes started again. I really like this mod and i would like to ask for help if someone had similiar problem and found a solution to this, or if there is a similiar mod to CM wich is working without such crashes. TabuKuroshi
Let me say first, troubleshooting for me is a trial and error thing lol. I haven't been playing long so I am not as good as some of the people on here. I'll try to give you a couple of basic things to check. When you installed it did you just do the basic setup or did you go ahead and add extra npc's. It should have asked you. The reason I ask is because I just did the basic one which only added 9 npc's I think it was ( These are the deafult npc's from within the CM partner download, not separate ones). I have not had any issues with the mod with that setup. If you did add all the ones available maybe try to just install the basic ones. See if that helps. If that doesn't help, try using the OMOD conflict detector. Maybe you have another mod conflicting with it. Another thing to check is that you have all the .esp and the .esm files checked off, If you installed all the npcs and missed an .esp that will cause an issue. With the setup I have there are 4 files to check off. CM partners.esm, CM partners.esp, CM partners NPC.esp, CM partners Extra NPCs.esp I can't say that any of this will work, but it gives you a few things to look at and try. Thoreai
Thank you for the reply :) I did turned off some esp's, at the installation i was asked if i want extra npc's added but i gave "no", so the mod installed CM Partner's.esp, CM Partner's Extra Npc's.esp, CM Partner's Npc's.esp and ofc the .esm file (i checked off the CM Partner's Extra Npc's.esp) So now i have 2 esp's and the esm. I found at the waterfront district an npc named Finn wich is a rogue and he fit my party perfectly, after messing with this mod trying to fix it i found out i need to have CM Partner's Npc's.esp checked on to have this npc, becouse i checked it off and he wasnt there anymore, so now im not sure if i should have checked all 3 esp's or only 2... could it be those 2 are conflicting with eachother ? Also this installation is omod and is somehow buggy, meaning that when installing i choosed first time non-essential npcs and no invisiblilty but i got a strange error "Invalid argumanet to copy plugin. File' CM Partners - OblivionandSI NoInvisibility \ Cm Partner's esp. is not part of this plugin on line 33" so i reinstalled it, choosing "allow invisibility", Essencial partners without the extra npc's. TabuKuroshi
With an OMOD always check off everything it generates. It will only generate esp/esm according to the options you choose, so they will never conflict from the same mod. Do you have any stand alone companions? Companions not included with the CMpartners mod? I have never bothered to use one generated from that mod, So issues arising from them is something I never dealt with. I always use a standalone i.e Sonia, Montanas, Vilja, Neesha. Have you run the conflict checker in OBMM? Try doing that and see if it lists anything.
