Why is there no Dog in Awakening? Where did my so-called "faithful" Mabari go? Nothing was mentioned about him in the Origins epilogue. What happened to him? Why has he disappeared without any explanation?

Shhhhhhh. We try not to bring up "Dog". :( The children have almost gotten over the shock. Seeing what those Darkspawn freaks did and how little they left along the side of the road on our way to the Vigil... Well, it's best forgotten. Maybe after enough time has passed we'll consider another four-legged addition to the family. (sniff) Someday.
