MikeySix
To make a long story short, I was messing around with a couple vampire mods as a vampire on one of my saves, screwing around to see if facial textures changed, like eyes and teeth. Quit out of Oblivion, loaded a different vampire mod, loaded the vampire save, was done messing around, then loaded my NON vampire save and continued playing as usual. However, I noticed the glare you get as a vampire during the daylight hours didn't go away. Now, this save I'm on ISN'T a vampire, yet I'm getting this vampire glare all hours of the day. How can I stop this? I have no saves before this, because my hardsave is the vampire and autosave is my somewhat current game (I play with quicksaves, only using hardsaves every few quests or when I want to tweak things) Is it something I can fix simply by starting a fresh game, walking outside, then loading my quicksave? Or maybe something slightly more complicated like going in and editing my .ini? Hopefully nothing more sinister than that; it takes me a full day to reload all my mods. yeldarb
Try deactivating some of the vampire mods, if you can narrow the problem down to one mod then you just need to deactivate it when you do switch saved games.
MikeySix
I've deactivated all my vampire mods. It didn't change anything. I'll try starting a new game and going to an exterior cell during daytime, and see if it's bugging the new game. If it isn't, I have a hunch that I can just load my save from there and it'll fix the problem, kinda like that vampire face glitch where your face reverts to the default male character face, even if you're a female. If it doesn't I'm at a loss. Update: Alright new game is fog free. Seeing if load from new game to my save fixes the problem. The problem appears to be fixed! I'll just leave this here incase anyone else has this exact problem, however unlikely. Edit: Okay, maybe it isn't as fixed as I thought. Now it's just crashing upon exiting the city. I've had this problem before but nothing to do with any vampire mods, and I couldn't find a way to fix it other than reloading everything. :pinch: ANOTHER edit: Everything seems fine now. Strange. Tried exiting the city again and it worked. I hate when stuff fixes itself, that means there's conflicts. Anyway, monologue complete. Way to go for self-help, lol.
