Phlab
okay, i read what you guys said and i watched the video, now i know the basic steps to place items ingame and things like that, thanks guys. now i wonder about one more thing. the last thing i wanna know about is adding custom enchants to certain items. i'm still not sure about the scripting for the auto-adding items to the player on start-up, but i might just leave that for another day. i've no idea how to work with scripts yet. just one last thing for me to try to understand now, the adding custom enchants to items, possibly to make godly items out of vanilla items, since i've no talent whatsoever to make my own items... TabuKuroshi
Instead of clicking and dragging the weapon or item into the render window, double click on it and you will get a pop up, in this window you will see the enchanting options, and how much of the enchantment you want on it below that. I don't know for sure if you need to do this, but whenever I add an item and change it's attributes, I always change the ID, for instance Apostle Dagger I would ad 01 to the beginning. Like I said I don't know if you are obliged to do it, but the tutorials I used always had me change it. Edit: You can also change the damage, health, weight, etc. in this same window. Edit2: I figured I would mention this incase you wanted to use an item not Native/Vanilla. Say if you wanted to use a weapon added by a player mod. The mini tutorial I gave you would be slightly different. Not only would you load the Oblivion.esm, but you would also load the particular mod that contains the item. So double click the Oblivion.esm, then also double click the "mod name".esp Then continue on like you would with a vanilla item, you can also change attributes like I mentioned above before adding it to the cell. Phlab
Oops, misread your post (thought you said you still didn't understand custom enchantments....). it's all good, i misread a lot of things. one more thing i wanna add to this topic instead of creating a whole new topic.all the things i've mentioned previously in this topic, wanting to know how to place objects, custom enchant them, etc,i know how to do all that now, but when i was messing around with some vanilla armor and clothes and weapons, there wasone thing i couldn't figure out how to do. i've placed a chest in the IC Arena District, but i've no clue how to place itemsin the chest. i've also looked around the CS to figure out how to do this, but i cannot figure it out, it's annoying me.what do i do with that? how do i place items i've messed around with in the chests i place in the world? also, that, andhow do i make it to where those items are being sold by certain npcs? it's all quite confusing. O.o i'm also trying to figureout what i need to do to use that script to make certain items automatically placed in my inventory on start-up. maybe i could find a full script as an example of what i need to do that. i'll get there eventually, i think.i'd also like to know how to make certain spells i create in the CS to where they're sold by certain npcs.those are a bit confusing too. onward, to try to figure stuff out. >.> ^^ xD Edit: okay, i now know how to add items to containers and i know how to add items to a vendor, but any item that i addto those containers either in a certain area in the world or to a certain vendors inventory, the items i add don't show up andi'm not quite sure why. i've followed every bit of the tutorial, saved the esp, it's checked in the list, the containers i added show up, but none of the items i put in the containers aren't there. any idea on that?
