I'm currently working on a mod and when i go into the one area for testing all the items but a few appear gray! then if i open a door into the next room over (door is animated not load) the items look fine close to you but nowhere else as you walk around. I'm using a mix of ayleid interior meshes and anvil interiors for the main part (mages guild top floor and fighters guild top floor) everything in the mages guild top floor but one of the walls 2 sleeping slabs and two ayleid cages when you hit them with a sword are gray. You cant see anything past it its just like the mesh iteself is pure gray with no shape at all! Even the floor is gone! if nescesarry i could get a picture to show you. Please help! Thanks. RebelOConner Posted July 1, 2010 Share Posted July 1, 2010 Did you change the meshes or the textures in any way?i see three possibilities.first, you could forgot the normal map textures, the "XXX_n.dds" textures.second, if you modified the textures, you could have saved them in a wrong DDS format. texture are in DXT5 with alpha and mip maps.third, the meshes could be inverted and the texture could be on the other side. i doubt it's that, because a bug like this could arrive on a single mesh, but not on all. but it could arrive. to test it, use the collision off command on the console( TCL ), and look on the other side. Another thing i should say is some items dissapear if hit with a sword or such and some appear when your close to themVery strange.if i understand, you made only the esp, without any change for the meshes?are you sure you have the last version of TESCS? because i don't see what it could do if all the models you use are in the BSA. soleguardian Posted July 3, 2010 Author Share Posted July 3, 2010 well that might be the problem :confused: I downloaded the construction set off the elder scrolls site but when i tried updating it said it could and there was a file of the same name so idk.
