firsTraveler
I want to use the GUIPatcher to try to install some mods. It requires that that the game not be installed in C:\Programfiles directory. How do I get Steam to install it to a different directory, there's no option for this when I use the Seam client? dubiousintent
See this link in the wiki article "Installing Games on Windows Vista+". Really, you should read the entire article, and the other two "Required Reading" articles: "Steam and mods" and "Basic Guide to installing mods" as well, if you haven't already. They cover about 80% of all support questions asked here. -Dubious- Edited October 2, 2014 by dubiousintent
firsTraveler
Thanks. I searched all over Steam using terms like move Steam and change installation folder and I got butkiss.
firsTraveler
Well, I trided moving my existing install and it failed miserably (no game would play). So I uninstalled Steam and did a fresh install to C:\SteamGames\ folder and it all seems to be working. I must say, Long War is a lot of fun but even with the "not so long" option there are way to many abduction missions. Also andvanced aliens showed way way to early compared to my tech.
