Jamisicus6
Does anyone feel like making an Inheritance complete conversion? I have already made a start (Some scripting of first quests) but my knowledge is rather lacking when it comes to Making Maps and more advanced scripting. I seriously doubt that this has been considered here yet. My Idea is making a whole new world space (which could be accessible from a portal or made so that you HAVE to start in it i.e. Whole new game) which follows the Eragon Series of Books. You could choose what you want to do (stay in line with the events of the books or go to the kings Evil side, or even make your own way through life). Obviously this would be a huge project, with loads of new scripting and quest creation, not to mention the number of new maps we would need to make, but we already have the Game engine and the basic scripts from the original Oblivion game. I would just like to know how many people would be on board for a project like this, who thinks it would be a good idea and who thinks it is just stupid and either too large a project or a stupid idea. I only had this Idea about an hour ago so please question me if any of these points need clarifying.
Jamisicus6
After thinking some more on this I think we should use a similar idea to Shivering Isles.A Portal which takes you to a new worldspace. This would minimize the amount of time that would need to be spent on Extra, rather complicated scripting. If No One would like to help then don't feel that you have to. I could complete this Project alone but with limited knowledge of Mapping I would have to take Far longer to learn and improve the Maps, although the scripting wouldn't be too much of a problem for me. Jamisicus6
Basically guys, all I need is someone who can do Maps. I would need a Map of Alagaesia (either height mapped or Landscaped it doesn't matter) and from then on in I would sort it all out. I have begun writing the basic storyline so I really can't stop the project now. Someone helping me would definitely speed it up though.
alonsomartinez
Even though you sorta bumped twice I will say I have modeled Zarro'c and the sword of Arya about a month ago and I am working on Galbatorix sword You can see the sword of arya here http://teswords.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=87795212
Jamisicus6
I may be getting into contact with you in the near future to use those (it would vastly reduce the amount of time I would spend making Models of EVERY major sword in the Construction Set.) See, this is what I need, people giving me the little things that I might have otherwise missed out. Even if it is just a sword or a quest idea. I can merge everything into one package and you'd get a mentioning in the Credits (and royalties of course ) Thank you Alonso.

Norinvaux
That... That is actually really really awesome. Once I'm done with the mods I'm currently working on, I will definitely help you make this mod a reality, in any way I can! I've read every book in the Inheritance series, and loved every one, and it would be awesome if it's possible to turn it into a mod (or a game, if you decide to do away with all of vanilla oblivion and only use the engine). The quests you have so far are almost exactly what I remember from the first book, aside from getting the cursed scar on Eragon's back. Plus, you way you have it planned out, it wouldn't be all that hard to make, as you wouldn't have to make it open-world like oblivion is (meaning you only need to make the interiors of a few houses in a city, as opposed to making every single one, like in most oblivion mods). Let me know if you want help with anything. I'm somewhat experienced in modding. As of yet, I can't script worth a damn, and I still haven't figured out how the hell to landscape, but I can do most other things involved with modding. Also, watch out on making multiple posts right after one another. The moderators here frown upon bumping, and they might lock this thread and prevent the starting of another on this topic (I've seen it happen before). Yeah I'll watch out for the accidental bumps :D. I have sent messages to a few people asking if I can steal their mods to integrate into this (although Making the Saphira Models could be fun as there are about seven planned versions of Her in this (as you go through the main quest she gets bigger and more powerful etc.)) I could also make her level dependant so she levels with you. Don't worry about not being able to script, as I can do some scripting that we would definately need. Yes I agree, making the entire world + Every single house would be stupid... in the beginning...
Norinvaux
Oh, by the way, a Saphira model would be easy. There's already Saiden Storm's Akatosh mount, and that model can be edited and used as a creature model. For baby Saphira, just shrink the wings on the akatosh mount. Then make it bigger and bigg, until it can fly, then use the regular akatosh mount. After a while of growing still, edit the model again to make the neck longer and thicker, the tail longer and thicker, and body longer and thicker, the talons larger, the muscles thicker, and the wingspan much larger. And there you have it, a full growth cycle for a dragon!

And Making the armour model wouldn't be too difficult either would it (for major battles (farthen Dur, Burning Plains etc)) We Really need to make it so you can use Magic whilst riding this girl.
