Making your own wasteland.

Sorry if this is a common question.

 

For my mod, I was thinking about moving gameplay to an entirely new area. Obviously linking cells through doorways and such is simple, but I wondered if it was possible to create an entirely new wasteland, disconnected from the normal wasteland with the same "connected cells" style that the current Wasteland uses?

Completely unrelated, but to save me making a new topic, is it possible to make a terminal "Submenu" require a hacking attempt?

Sure, you can make your own world space. The inside of Megaton is like this. If you tcl your way through the fence around the outside of Megaton in the wasteland, you'll see that the inside isn't the real inside. The door in the front, near deputy weld, teleports you to the new world space. You can see these in the Geck by using the World Space drop down box in the cell view window and selecting Megaton World (or any of the others) instead of 'Interiors'.

 

As for the terminal, Hmm. I've never tried to give a sub-menu terminal a password, but you could try it and see if it works or not. I half expect it might.

think CarrotTop want's to have the map change as well on the pipboy, which changing to a "world" like type as Megaton and the Citadel will not change. Those just work basically like dungeons. Not changing to a new map (like The Pitt, Anchorage, etc.)

 

EDIT: sorry for the duplicate post, this is a very laggy place for me somehow which blocks my messages sometimes or waits for 5 minutes before adding them.
