Banana125
This is an odd one. For a few days now, whenever I do certain actions in-game (namely equipping/unequipping most weapons and going in/out of sneak mode) I hear the sound of a damage X spell hitting its target. Sometimes there's a slight delay, sometimes there's not, and some weapons don't seem to trigger. I have manymany mods running (around 85) which may itself be the source of this problem. I disabled the one I thought was the culprit and still got the issue, but disabled everything and had no such issue. I don't have the time or quite the give-a-damn to sift through all the mods and see which one is causing the issue; however, it would be very nice if someone could tell me how to check what actions a sound is tied to. I've checked the sounds in the CS and found the relevant ones only tied to magic effects or one or two quest-specific scripts. Is there somewhere else I'd have to look to find if they're tied to any specific actions/animations? Or would I just have to sift through all the mods and find the culprit one? David Brasher
You would have to sift through your mods one by one and look at them in the CS. That would take forever. It might be quicker to deactivate mods systematically by large groups and then repeatedly play-test to isolate the bad mod so you could fix it in the CS or stop using it. Banana125
Alright, will do. Once in the CS, though, where exactly would I look/go to solve this problem? I've loaded up all the mods and checked the relevant sounds' users and it's just magic effects or a few quest scripts.

You find the mod by launching the game with groups cut out until you narrow down to the problematic mod(s). Afterward, you can look through the mod with TESCS or TES4Edit (which I think is easier) to figure out what is wrong.
Banana125
Okay, I got the problem fixed. Turned out it was, strangely, the Unofficial Oblivion Patch causing the issue. A bit ironic, eh? Thanks for the replies, guys :)

Thanks for the replies, guys :)Which version were you using, v3.2.6? Have you tried rolling back to v3.2.0? The UOP should load early in your load order, so mod that make changes to anything should override it... Is your load order sorted?
Banana125
Yeah, I'm using the latest version of OBMM, and fairly regularly check up on the load order. UOP is the first .esp loaded. I'm using the latest version (hadn't updated it at all around the time this started happening), but I'll try getting an older one.
