Flying Enemies!

Hello, have scoured all of the internet it seems, in search of a flying enemy for oblivion...

i mean... yes, there are imps, there are ghosts , there are gargoyles, there are swarms

(last two from mmm)but none of those are really FLYING enemies!. ever seen an imp

falling off a cliff? i have. and even when you see them hover and flap their wings,

they are still affected by gravity as badly as any ground creature!

Don't you miss Cliff Racers?? uhmmm... well, don't you miss hating them? I DO.... A LOT!

but it's not that i want a "cliff racer mod", which i have not found, btw!

but it would do with just about any enemy, as long as it TRULY flies!

in fact.... i was thinking on a small one, for starters... CROWS!, yes!, crows!... flocks of angry crows

that attack anything from above!, annoying creatures that peck you and fly away out of your reach

and are too small to snipe with a bow.

Why crows? well, because they are really cool!, they fit anywhere, they could be perched on bridges,

rooftops, city walls, just waiting for a pray to approach. and roam around (uh... flying of course) in flocks

from time to time (they could have a schedule, just like any other creature) but it would make sense that

they could walk too and fly away when needed.

it would be nice if they would stay together, as crows are sociable creatures, somewhat like evil doves.

oh, another reason to have doves, i mean.... err... crows ingame? there are number of crow references

in the game, but the real crows are nowhere to be found! (example: crows nest cottage, old crow's inn,

nocturnal's statue has a crow sitting on her hand... and i'm sure there are many others)

well... i hope someone takes this on, because, to be honest i would do it myself, but i have a really big

couple of projects underway and have no time left to do it.

Im not saying i will do this , because i dont have a huge understanding of it either, but if i where to, i would start with the akatosh mount mod.

well.. yes i thought of that. as far as i know it is the only thing in oblivion that can move freely through the skies

mr. siika did release a few flying creatures, more of a modder's resource than an actual mod though.

There's Bats, ravens and vultures

I think the bats are the only ones with attack animations though.

interesting... i did downloaded it just to have a look and was utterly disappointed as:

bats(the same included in MMM) are just imps with a different mesh and animation. thus a ground creature animated to look as if it were flying

seagulls and vultures are just statics animated via activators so there is no way on earth (or sky) that we can turn them into creatures...they are the same as the fishtank fish... no way to turn them to creatures either.

ravens are the same as the last one, but while i thought it might be more useful, maybe to recycle the mesh... i think not... maybe the texture might be of use...if any.

crows flying around and using projectile excrement to fight the hero of Kvatch! I knew that the birds were trying to atack us!

hahahaha! well that might as well be their long range attack method!... and when you think of it that way, the akatosh mout is a real threat to cyrodiil! just imagine the size of those...

(WIP of the 100% custom creature I made for one of my projects, texture and skeleton by Koniption.)

oh really!? that one looks nice! but... does it really fly? say... if you are on top of the anvil lighthouse and throw an arrow at it close to the ground... will it get angry and fly higher to attack you? or better yet! if i punch it and quickly hop on top of my drake and fly away.. will it chase me through the skies? (try that with an imp!... )

well, maybe with a powerful zoom mod, with a bullet time mod, an arrow speed mod...yeah... i gues you could snipe them... note that this is just an idea. but i imagine them as very fast flying creatures that attack in swarms, and are deadly if engaged with more than...say...5? 10?
