tutt6
the extension is the part of the filename after the dot ( . )for example thisname.dazip or thisname.zip or thisname.7z etc etc.If you're not seeing those at the end of the filenames, its most likely that you have the view options set to not show them. Here's a tute on how to turn them back on in vista.http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1269/vista_show_unhide_file_extensions/ Yours is a .rar? Interesting. The most recent version is .7z and or override file. Yet the much older version that I have, is .zip (Unless that I changed it myself waaaay back and have forgotten  ) Ok, what you are going to need to do is extract the contents of the .rar or ,7z folder. Right click on it, and choose to extract it to a new folder. http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-unzip-zipped-file-using-7-zip-extraction-tool-341026/ Once you have them bundle up into an actual .ZIP file, just right click on the file, choose RENAME. Then in the name box, use your mouse to click the part of the name at/around the . (dot).Type in da so that it reads .dazip and hit your [enter] key. That will rename it to .dazip  Hope this helps! :smile:Edit- Also, before you ask.... no I'm afraid that you can't just change the .7z to .dazip. 7z used different compression algorithyms than .zip does and it can give the installer errors if you try to rename it from .7z or .rar to .dazip. OK F it I got an idea, Take screenshots of what you do because I did everything step by step and it said its an invalid ZIP file archive. Wait a moment, is the file even compatible with the newest dragonage patch?
DarkeWolf
patch isnt the issue. it doesnt determine what kind of files the installers will and won't use, unless it was a patch for daupdater.exe (which isnt the case) :wink:sent you a file. That's compatible with DaModder, tested it and it works. Tho its .zip. I couldnt get a .dazip to work with it either. Thinking maybe because there's no manifest.xml file with that mod is the reason for that error message.
