kruddpm Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Ive been looking for a black re textured version of the mysterious stranger's outfit but have yet. so i decided to try myself. But its harder than it looks.so can anyone tell me how to re texture something perfectly like done here, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4003 leaving all the weathered marks and details but just giving it a new colour. BadPenney Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 I was able to make vanilla female leather armor look black instead of brown by importing the .dds file into Photoshop and converting it from color to black and white. I did a little more than that by adjusting brightness and contrast and doing a few detail changes like adding some glossiness to the leather, but it is really rather simple to keep all of the original scuff marks and such when retexturing armor.
